Frequently asked questions

On which floors and surfaces does the product work?

The product works on most floors and surfaces. This depends on the porosity of the specific floor or surface. The product works on the following floors and surfaces:

  • Tiles (unglazed)
  • Concrete
  • Stone
  • Plastic
  • Linoleum
  • Walk-in showers, shower trays, and bathtubs
Which types of tiles/surfaces does the Innogrip AntiSlip product not work on?

Which types of tiles/surfaces does the Innogrip AntiSlip product not work on?

The product does not work on glazed tiles or on hardstone (often natural stone). This is because the product cannot adhere or impregnate into the tiles due to the glaze layer present on the tile, or because the tiles have a dense pore structure (hardstone). Examples include Belgian hardstone or its variants.

Additionally, the surface (e.g., tile floor) must always be thoroughly degreased. For example, in the shower corner, residues such as body oils, soap, and shampoo residues must be removed. For this, we recommend our Innogrip Ultra Floor Degreaser, which is specially designed to remove these types of invisible fats and dirt thoroughly as a deep cleaner, deep into the pores.

It is also extremely important to rinse well with water after each shower to wash away the body oils, soap, and shampoo residues, so no residue is left behind, which could eventually make the floor slippery again.

Does the product work on dry smooth floors and on wet smooth floors?

Yes, the product works on both dry and wet (and damp) smooth floors and surfaces.

Does it prevent slipping on smooth/wet floors at all times?

No, the product significantly reduces the risk of slipping, providing a high level of (preventive) safety.

How long does the effect of the product last?

The product has a long-lasting effect. The duration of its effectiveness depends on the usage intensity of the treated surface. It is recommended to repeat the treatment 2 to 3 times per year for consistently slip-resistant and safe floors. However, this should be determined by you based on the specific situation and type of surface.

Is the product easy to apply?

Yes, the ready-to-use product is very quick and easy to apply. Depending on the packaging (spray bottle or jerrycan), you apply the product using a lint-free cloth or a flat mop (for surfaces larger than 5m2).

Does the original appearance (color, gloss, or texture) of the treated (tile) floor or surface change with the use of Innogrip AntiSlip?

No, under normal use, the original appearance does not change with the use of INNOGRIP AntiSlip. The product does not contain any chemicals that could cause a chemical reaction.

Do you need to repeat the treatment?

Yes, over time, the effectiveness may decrease due to the intensity of use of the treated surface, and you can reapply the product quickly and easily. It is recommended to repeat the treatment 2-3 times a year for consistently slip-resistant and safe floors. However, this should be determined by you based on the specific situation and type of surface.

Can the product be stored?

Yes, the product can be stored in a cool, dark place. Always shake well before use. The shelf life of the product is approximately 3 years.

Is the product safe to use?

Yes, the product is completely safe to use, 100% ecological, and environmentally friendly. It contains no hazardous chemicals and, according to the prescribed guidelines, does not require any warning symbols on the packaging.
